Water Conservation

Water conservation and management is becoming a worldwide survival issue due to accelerating water shortages, property development and population growth, aging infrastructures, growing agricultural demands, a general warming trend, and the ever-increasing cost of and demand for natural water resources.

Spartan with Geologists and Hydrologists on staff, brings a commonsense, cost-effective approach to addressing the escalating issue of water conservation and management through our innovative rainwater harvesting system designs.

Spartan provides consulting for rainwater harvesting, storm water management, wastewater recycling, and other water efficient sustainable systems and methods.   After project review we will do a complete design-build, design-assist and team-construct project delivery systems to quickly integrate the design of sustainable water systems with our aggressive construction schedules.

Our Building Scientists will provide the Energy Star product choices and methodologies to deliver our clients with an integrated approach to water-efficient sustainable systems and roof drainage systems.

Spartan will produce high LEED Points for the building by addressing water conservation as a major priority.

LEED Water Categories Spartan will address during Building Designs

Storm Water Quantity Control-Use of Tile Drains and Soils

Rainwater Harvesting Systems – Capturing runoff and storing rain water for reuse water on site

Storm Water Quality Control- Limit pollution of natural water flows by managing storm water runoff.

Water Efficient Landscaping-  Reduce and limit or eliminate the use of potable water for irrigation

Innovative Wastewater Technologies-  Reduce wastewater generation and potable water demand

Plumbing systems that promote the re-use of water for toilet flushing, process water, wash water, etc.

Water Efficiency-Further increase efficiency within buildings to reduce water supply and wastewater

Recycled Content- Increase the demand for building products with recycled content materials

Regional Priority- Achievement of credits that address geographically-specific environmental priorities.
